A Look Back at Henry Horenstein’s Visit to Europe
Acclaimed American photographer Henry Horenstein made stops in London and Amsterdam to launch his newest book Miles and Miles of Texas.
Beginning with a talk at Iconic Images in Chelsea, he reflected on his journey from a history student to celebrated RISD teacher, recalling students like David Godlis and Nan Goldin, and sharing the advice that still guides him: “Shoot what you love.”
Back in Amsterdam, the gallery hosted an intimate portfolio viewing, giving attendees a rare chance to explore Horenstein’s extensive archive first-hand and pick up signed copies of the new book.
The visit continued at FC Hyena for a screening of Blitto Underground. Directed by Henry, the film dives into Buenos Aires bohemia through the eyes of Pablo Blitto Torre, a struggling club entertainer whose story celebrates inclusivity, acceptance, and the tight-knit community of friends and performers.
A warm thank you to Henry for sharing his work, his stories, and his time with us!
You can find Miles and Miles of Texas, along with a wide selection of his works, on Artsy and through our online store.
