Elliott Gallery offers portfolio reviews for photographers at all stages of their practice—whether emerging, mid-career, or established. Open to photographers worldwide, these sessions are designed to support both creative development and professional positioning within the fine art photography field.
Each photography portfolio review is tailored to the individual artist. We provide considered feedback on technical execution, narrative clarity, visual cohesion, and overall presentation. For photographers seeking to place their work within the fine art photography market, we also offer guidance on strategy, visibility, and next steps, informed by our experience working with collectors, institutions, and international audiences.
Our aim is to help photographers refine their artistic voice, clarify the direction of their work, and better understand how their portfolio communicates as a whole. With over 20 years of gallery experience and a long-standing commitment to photography, our team offers honest, informed critique grounded in both artistic and market awareness.
We offer three levels of portfolio review, each designed to meet different needs and stages of artistic development. Whether you are looking to gain fresh perspective, strengthen your portfolio, or prepare for professional opportunities, you are invited to explore the review option that best suits your practice.
Level 1: Written Review
A focused, in-depth written critique based on a selection of 20 to 30 photos. We assess the work across key areas, such as technical execution, narrative clarity, visual consistency, and presentation, offering precise and actionable feedback. The review is delivered as a comprehensive PDF, with concrete suggestions for improvement and development.
Ideal for photographers who prefer written feedback and are looking for focused input to develop their portfolio independently.

Level 2: In-Person or Online Session
A 60-minute one-on-one session, held in person at the gallery or via video call, followed by a written summary. In this session, we take a closer look at your selected work together. We discuss sequencing, visual language, series cohesion, and positioning within a Fine Art context. The session also includes guidance on editioning, print sizes, framing options, and pricing, and encourages open dialogue and questions. It is supported by a follow-up PDF outlining our main observations and advice.
Ideal for photographers looking for direct exchange and nuanced feedback. From refining an existing body of work to building a new series, or preparing for professional opportunities.
