New Collaboration with MUUS Collection

The Kiss by Alfred Wertheimer

Elliott Gallery is extremely proud to announce our new collaboration with MUUS Collection, who bring together exceptional American photography Archives, making them more visible to a wider audience.

We are extremely excited to hold some unique and striking, historic pieces by the legendary photographers Alfred Wertheimer and André de Dienes, from their remarkable Collection.

American photographer, Alfred Wertheimer (1929-2014) is famed for his defining role in the development of Rock and Roll photography, and is probably most famous for his intimate pictures of a young and handsome Elvis Presley on his first wave of stardom.

American-Hungarian photographer, André de Dienes (1913-1985) is most known for his extensive work with a very young Marilyn Monroe, recording a time in the 1940s, even before the iconic image of the Marilyn persona we know today was born. He continued to photograph her throughout the 1950s, as the rising star that she became.
