Yokko Seungyoun 요꼬승연
Yokko Seungyoun (요꼬승연), born in 1977 in South Korea, is a contemporary photographer renowned for his technically challenging pinhole photography. His ongoing series 14 Memories explores the Korean concept of 인연 (in-yeon), charting sixteen years of intimate connections with past lovers. The resulting photographs are sensual, fragmentary, and hypnotic—long exposures and manual techniques blur the body, layering form and neon light while capturing fleeting moments of intimacy. Yokko’s work investigates the bonds formed between people, preserving shared experiences in visually poetic imagery.
This limited edition print is by South Korean contemporary artist Yokko Seungyoun. In his 14 Memories series, he records his time with past lovers or 인연 (in-yeon) over a period of sixteen years. Yokko’s body of work investigates the altering potential of this bond, using his images to record and remember these moments of shared connection.
