Marcus Davies
Marcus Davies is a British photographer known for his technically masterful black and white photography exploring landscape, cityscape and the human and animal figure. For over three decades, Davies has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in balance, abstraction and the formal qualities of light and composition.
His Animals Series further refines this approach, presenting highly abstract and graphic portraits defined by contrast, simplicity and precision printing. Across all bodies of work, Davies’ focus remains on the essential language of photography: light, form and visual harmony.
Davies has exhibited widely in the UK and The Netherlands. His work is held in major collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, The Saatchi Collection and Citibank (New York and London).
