David Corio
David Corio (b.1960, London) is a British photographer internationally recognised for his iconic music photography spanning Reggae, R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats and Rock. Beginning his career in 1978, Corio documented a transformative era in global music culture, contributing to publications including Rolling Stone and The New York Times. The publication The Black Chord (1999, reissued 2024) remains a landmark celebration of Black music, cementing Corio’s position within contemporary music photography.
Exhibited internationally across Europe, North America and Asia, Corio’s work forms part of significant public and private collections.
