André de Dienes (1913–1985) was an American-Hungarian photographer best known for his iconic photographs of Marilyn Monroe. A pioneering figure in 20th century photography, de Dienes built a career spanning fashion, celebrity portraiture, nude studies and experimental darkroom techniques. His decade-long collaboration with a young Marilyn Monroe produced some of the most intimate and enduring images of the actress — from her early years as Norma Jeane Baker to her rise as a Hollywood icon.
