We accept submissions from Photographers worldwide – amateurs, professional, recent graduates – above the age of 18.
Entries must be original photographs, captured by the participant and should be submitted in high-resolution digital format (JPEG or PNG). Your preferred choice of framing needs to be indicated as well.
Each participant can submit up to 10 photos, presented as an exhibition proposal, accompanied with a brief statement about the work.
By submitting an entry, participants affirm that they own all rights to the photographs and grant the contest organisers the right to display, reproduce, and distribute the submitted images for promotional purposes.
Eligibility and Submission Guidelines
Entries will be judged by a panel of experienced photographers and industry professionals. Judging will be based on criteria such as creativity, originality and presentation.
The judging panel will consider how the winning proposals will complement the gallery's existing programme, while bringing fresh perspectives and diversity to it.
The final decision will be announced after the interviews of the finalists.
Judging Process
Winners will be notified via email and announced on our website and Social Media platforms, on 7th June 2024. The interviews with the finalists will take place between 10th and 28th June. The final decision will be announced on 7th July 2024.
Finalist Announcement
The exhibition will take place during the Summer of 2024, for 3-4 weeks at Elliott Gallery in Amsterdam.
Two solo shows will be presented in the main space of our gallery, each one occupying a side of the space. The approximate available wall space for each solo exhibition is 20m2.
Artists are responsible for the costs of production, shipping and framing their works. It may be possible to use the gallery’s basic wooden exhibition frames, if this is helpful.
Any revenue obtained from sales of artworks on display will be split between Elliott Gallery and the Artist, with the Artist receiving 70% and Elliott Gallery receiving 30% for the duration of the exhibition.
The gallery is responsible for hanging the show, the production of all the additional promotional material (labels, exhibition catalogue, wall vinyl) and an opening reception for the exhibition.
The Physical Exhibition
One of our finalists will be awarded with an exclusive online selling exhibition on the Gallery’s Website, Online Story and our Artsy profile, leading online art selling platform.
The Online Exhibition
The Artists are responsible for the collection and/or transfer of their works, within 14 days after the closing of the exhibition.
Further inquiries for the works after the duration of the exhibition, will be forwarded directly to the Artists.
A representation contract for 12 initial months with Elliott Gallery may be offered to the first prize winner.
