Following the success of our previous exhibition open calls, we are shifting our focus to a mission close to our hearts: discovering, nurturing, and professionalising the next generation of photographic talent.

We are thrilled to launch our new Open Call for Emerging Artists. This initiative is specifically designed for recent graduates (from universities or photography courses) and self-taught photographers who are in the early stages of their careers.

We aren’t looking for flawless, finished portfolios; we are looking for fresh voices, raw talent, authenticity, and potential. Our goal is to provide you with the foundation and tools to launch your career, while introducing your exciting, groundbreaking work to our international network of collectors.

Mentorship with the Elliott Gallery team

This open call focuses on a deeply valuable, personalised Mentorship Prize awarded to the selected winner, judged directly by the Elliott Gallery curatorial team. This mentorship is designed to give you hands-on guidance to:

  • Shape Your Practice: Refine your artistic identity and conceptual approach through intensive portfolio reviews.

  • Professionalise Your Brand: Learn how to navigate the fine art market, price your work, write compelling statements, and approach galleries.

  • Develop & Exhibit: Master the art of curating your work for both digital and physical spaces.

  • Future Opportunities: The mentorship serves as a gateway with the distinct potential for further collaboration with Elliott Gallery.

  • The mentorship includes three 60-minute one-on-one sessions over three months.

Additionally, shortlisted artists will receive international exposure across our website and social media channels, introducing their work directly to our dedicated base of fine art photography collectors.

The Prize

We want to see your vision. There is no defined theme, but we look for a distinct perspective and a genuine passion for the medium.

  • Medium: We accept only photography

  • Submission Format: We require a single link to view your work. This can be a link to a specific folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive) or a direct link to an online portfolio/website. Please ensure that sharing permissions are set to public so our team can view your images.

  • Artist Statement: A short statement (up to 500 words) describing your current work, your approach, and your vision.

  • Eligibility: Open to early-career photographers, recent graduates, or current students worldwide.
