Exhibition Opening: Fashion Photography by Norman Parkinson
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of Streets in, Studios out — a celebration of the iconic photography of Norman Parkinson!
It was great to see so many familiar and new faces come together to explore Norman Parkinson’s bold and glamorous take on fashion photography. Your presence set the tone for a lively beginning to the exhibition!
Streets in, Studios out! celebrates the visionary work of British fashion photographer Norman Parkinson (1913–1990), who revolutionised the field by taking fashion out of the studio and into the world. Spanning seven decades, the exhibition traces his dynamic shift toward narrative-driven, location-based photography, featuring iconic portraits of figures like Audrey Hepburn, the Beatles, and Jerry Hall. With his bold use of colour and movement, Parkinson redefined glamour and left a lasting mark on editorial photography.
For those who couldn’t join us—or anyone wanting to revisit Parkinson’s bold take on fashion photography—the exhibition runs until August 16th.
The gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday, 13:00–18:00, or by appointment. We’d love to welcome you in.
