David Corio shines at Ice Cold Jewellery Exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History

David Corio is now showing at Ice Cold: An Exhibition of Hip-Hop Jewelry at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

With its launch covered by Vogue magazine, this leading exhibition highlights hip-hop's cultural influence with unique jewellery pieces and iconic photographs from over the past five decades. It builds on New York City’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop as a global phenomenon.

David Corio’s enduring image of hip-hop pioneers Eric B and Rakim was taken in 1987. Rakim wears a Mary pendant on layered gold rope chains, while Eric B. wears an anchor pendant and eagle motif pendant on gold rope chain, gold nugget watch, and multiple gold nugget rings, including pinky ring with a Mercedes-Benz motif and a four-finger nameplate ring spelling out his full name— Louis Eric Barrier— in classic script.
